AHSA Mission Statement
AHSA is multi-breed horse show
organization dedicated to serve and promote the best interests of AHSA recognized
competitions and our exhibitors.
The Appalachian Horse Show Association
began over 30 years ago and now has members and Recognized Horse Show
Exhibitions in many states, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina. We welcome
members from all areas to join and help us grow.
We provide leadership and
support in local horse shows and equine events. AHSA is active in supporting
growth of the regional horse shows, events, learning clinics and agricultural
programs, training and boarding facilities and breeding industry in our regions.
We work with government representatives
and regional tourism agencies to promote our equine industry and Appalachian
culture.
Members compete to earn points
for exhibiting at affiliated AHSA shows.
Members that earn the most
points in the class they nominate for are presented with High Point awards at
our year end High Point Awards dinner.
Through our commitment, experience,
and expertise, the AHSA has established a lasting relationship with our members.

STANDINGS! We will supply all members with point updates as they are requested
in a timely manner. We encourage all members to keep their own running tally of
points to compare and verify.
New for High Point Awards in 2010: For
sponsored High Point Classes selected awards will be presented such as
Saddle*Halters*Statues*Silver Plates*Gift
Certificate for Services, Tack and other items.
You can be a class sponsor and select the
award for your favorite class!

Have Been Updated
As Of March 19th 2010. Some Of AHSA Class Rule Updates For 2010 Are :***
Updates to Arabian foot requirements and Western
Performance Divisions-Changes to Walk/Jog classes and Hunter Classes.
Addition of novice exhibitor classes such as Green Hunter
Walk/Trot, Beginner Walk/Jog, Green Reining and Green Working Cow classes. AHSA
has joined the GREEN movement. These classes help to protect novice riders and
encourage new opportunities to progress exhibitor skills.
Cross Entries are allowed unless indicated on
High Point List. Example: Adult Walk/Jog may enter in Western Pleasure & Open
Walk/Jog Classes
English Walk/Trot may enter into Hunter
Under Saddle as well as Open Classes. Only Beginner, Green Rider and classes
noted as no cross entry are restricted. Less headache for show
managers, less frustration for exhibitors and more classes available for
competition.
Rules updates are in progress. We welcome
anyone that would like to help us with these
rule updates

Charlene Dye is not a member of AHSA in 2010 and was suspended for her
actions while a member in 2009
and is not legally authorized to collect any money for membership or payments made out to

other website, individual or group has any legal authorization to use any
printed, email or verbal form of representation or to sign legal documents as
representing Appalachian Horse Show Association Inc. We have hired an attorney
to protect AHSA corporation rights. All persons listed below are aware they are
infringing on our AHSA name . Our
AHSA attorney notified these individuals to cease using Appalachian Horse Show Association name . They have
continued to represent themselves as AHSA on a website and in written and email
communication.
Our attorney contacted these persons to cease and
desist use of the Appalachian Horse Show Association name and copyrighted
content of our website. They will
follow up with other legal avenues to protect AHSA Inc. We are notifying other
agencies as well to report this unauthorized activities. We have and will
continue to file complaints for the use of the public school internet
server used to hack into and destroy the AHSA website.
Do
not accept any mail, emails send checks or sign contracts from these
persons or any documents with our banner they have copies without permission and
a statement "Elected AHSA Board." These persons are not elected
to the legal AHSA Inc Board. Their actions have confused the true AHSA members
and public .All mail and emails with this statement
are not legally valid to represent Appalachian Horse Show Association Inc in any
manner.
All
Appalachian documents and logos are copyright protected and are not
permitted to be reproduced in any form.
This is the
legal and official AHSA Inc. Our election per bylaws will be held at our High
Points Awards banquet in December for AHSA members.

Sikes is a Virginia State education Information Technician employee at Russell County
schools and where Sheila Adams is also employed.
The false AHSA Inc. website that
lists the following false members of Appalachian Horse Show Association and
persons to that include:
In January of 2010
Brian Sikes, an
IT employee at Russell County Schools ,hacked into our AHSA website. He deleted
it and has attempted to
duplicate a FALSE AHSA website. His unauthorized actions have created confusion for our legitimate
exhibitors/members and show managers. To report the false and misleading solicitation for
membership in Appalachian Horse Show Association Inc. please go to:

fraud and file a formal complaint. The persons above that contacted you
representing themselves as members and/or officers of Appalachian Horse Show
Association Inc. should be listed in the ICC
complaint and include their email addresses.
Please be aware there is not another legitimate website for
AHSA. Only members that register with the membership forms from this AHSA legal site are joining the official and legal Appalachian Horse Show
Association Inc. Only those members will be eligible for AHSA sanctioned
High Point Award show points.
